Managed IT means a partner owns the day-to-day work of keeping your technology reliable, so your team can stay focused on the business. At S. J. Rollins Technologies, our mission is to remove the burdens of technology by providing solutions that create efficiency, stability, and security. Managed IT services are one of the main ways we do it.
We are a Managed Service Provider serving organizations primarily across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, and we’ve provided managed IT services and solutions since 1986.
What Managed IT includes
Every environment is different, but a managed relationship with S. J. Rollins typically covers the work that keeps systems running and people productive:
- Onsite and remote support: Technicians fix issues remotely when that’s fastest, and come on site for cabling, server work, installs, repairs, and other hands-on needs.
- Cloud and on-premises server engineering: Planning, hardware acquisition, installation, testing, and recommendations when systems need to scale or change.
- Software licensing: Practical options for Microsoft and other titles, including monthly licensing when buying years of licenses up front doesn’t fit.
- Security and upkeep, paired with our security practice: Layered defenses such as endpoint protection, firewall management with ongoing monitoring and updates, and sound backup practices. Details live on our Security Services pages.
- A real support path: Call 207-941-0264 (extension 1 to schedule), email support@sjrollins.com, or use our contact form. Weekend on-call coverage is available.
Related paths many clients also use: Cloud Services, Virtual CIO, and IT Services.
Who managed services are for
Managed IT fits organizations that need dependable day-to-day technology without building a full in-house IT department, or that already have limited IT staff and want a partner who will own the outcome.
We work with businesses across industries, from single sites to multi-location companies. If your team spends more time fixing computers than serving customers, or you’re not sure your backups, patches, and security basics are really covered, this is the conversation to have.
How we work with you
- We show up in person. About a fifth of our IT service is delivered on site, on purpose. Time at your desk builds the relationship and turns up problems that remote tools miss.
- We say yes. Bring us any technology question. We’ve likely solved it before, and you’ll never hear “I don’t know if we do that.”
- No job is beneath us. Friendly, high-touch, white-glove service is the standard.
- We finish what we start. New clients sometimes come to us after a provider left work half done. In one case, that meant $100,000 of network switches sitting unopened in a closet. We take ownership and see all jobs through to completion.
These are the values behind who we are. We’ve served clients since 1986, with hundreds of thousands of service requests handled.

Managed IT FAQs
What is managed IT for a Maine business?
Managed IT is an ongoing partnership where an outside provider takes responsibility for defined IT services, such as support, systems care, and related upkeep, so your staff can focus on core business work instead of day-to-day technology chores.
What is included in S. J. Rollins managed services?
Core offerings include onsite and remote IT support, cloud and on-premises server engineering, and software licensing. Many clients also pair managed services with our security, cloud, and Virtual CIO work. Exact scope is set to fit your environment.
Do you come on site, or is everything remote?
Both. We fix what we can remotely because it’s fastest, but on average about a fifth of our IT service is delivered in person. We do that on purpose, because time on site builds relationships and turns up problems remote tools miss.
Do you support businesses outside Bangor?
Yes. Our office is in Bangor, and we serve organizations across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. We also have clients in about 25 more states, where we provide remote support and onsite work when it’s needed.
How do I get help when something breaks?
Call 207-941-0264 and use extension 1 to schedule, email support@sjrollins.com, or use the contact form. Weekend on-call coverage is available through our main number.
